Tucson 2011

A week ago I came back from Tucson where I was teaching jewelry making classes. I am a teacher in the third generation, so I  really enjoy this work. While teaching in Tucson, I caught myself at calling my adult student "kids" :)
I had 24 kids students this year , so  I got 24 new friends from all over the world.
To make long story shorter, I'll show you pictures (I am a bad writer, by the way).
This is a really international class: Catherine from Australia, Ida from Colombia, and me- from Russia:)

Mary and Terry took more then one class and got a special gift:)
Terry with just finished Woven Wire Bangle
Pat made really beautiful pendant!

While Michael is taking my Catch a Gem class, his wife is taking another class behind me. What a family fun!
I was teaching next door table to my friend Dale 'Cougar' Armstrong.
Walk-ins welcome, so Ken took my class and made a nice pendant!
Beside classes, I participated in international exhibit  "One of a kind" with my wire works.
I had almost no time for shopping, but I found a couple hours to spend with my husband and daughter (they came in the morning from Mesa) looking at rocks, gems, tools and other stuff :) .
Unfortunately,  I made not many pictures of my classes this year. If you, my friends, have some pictures to share, I would really appreciate :)

Yours,
Albina Manning

  1. Thank you for the nice write-up. I enjoyed your class and my friends loved the cuff earring you taught me to make. See you next year.

  3. Hi Albina. I enjoyed the class so much that I will have to take more than one next year! I was looking for a way to display the cuff earrings and found that a ring display works quite well. I'm looking forward to your book. Thanks.
